Strengths and trade-offs
What stands out
- The public formation offer states both the first-year agent inclusion and subsequent annual price.
- Address and document-handling services are a central part of the offer.
- The package describes document templates, compliance reminders and access to Corporate Guides support.
Costs and limits to check
- The formation offer has a $39 service fee before government charges.
- Using the provider's address does not mean every filing field or public record becomes private.
- The terms limit address use to purchased services and set document-handling conditions.
Separate the first year from the renewal
Northwest's formation page advertises a $39 provider fee plus state charges, with registered agent service included for the first year. Its comparison table lists $125 per year afterward.
Include the agent renewal in your second-year budget. Check the order for separate charges for filings, mail or compliance services.

Match the address service to your actual needs
Northwest promotes using its address for business filings and receiving documents. Its terms restrict address use to the services purchased, describe a limit of 15 legal documents a year for registered agent service, and set separate conditions for packages and mail.
Ask which filing fields can use the address. Also confirm whether ordinary mail, bank correspondence or packages require another service. A registered agent address cannot automatically replace every address the LLC must provide.

Check auto-pay and cancellation before renewal
The published terms allow cancellation through the portal without a cancellation fee, while leaving any past-due balance payable. They say to cancel auto-pay at least one business day before a charge and generally exclude refunds after 90 days; state fees are not refundable.
The terms also describe auto-pay for compliance services. Review which services your account will renew. If you change registered agents, complete the change required by your state so important legal notices still reach your company.
